Sugar Time  is the very first building on the right after you cross the causeway onto The Town of Edisto Beach.   You can also get ice cream there too!

ON THE ISLAND BEFORE YOU GET TO THE TOWN OF EDISTO BEACH:

Edisto Island Environmental Learning Center:  This is a very cool place off of Palmetto Road ( this is the road that runs down by the Ace Hardware Store) There are touch tanks there with all kinds of displays of the animals and plant life around the Ace Basin.  There are also video on large screens there that teach about Edisto Island.   It's almost like a museum.   Turn onto Jungle Road and on the left about one mile to a mile and a half you will see a sign for the State Park Boat Landing,  the center is on the right before the Landing.

Roxbury Mercantile Restaurant      While it's not really on the island it's on Hwy. 174 and you can't miss it really, if you are not sure there is the hull of a

shrimp boat upside down directly across Hwy. 174.......worth the drive from the beach!

The Old Post Office Restaurant      Located on the island on the left side, actually used to be the post office where they used a pole barge to get the mail up to the post office.    Be sure to call for reservations!  Very good

Edingsville Restaurant and Bar   On the island on the left after The Old Post Office and before The Edistonian Gas Station which is on the left as you continue down towards the beach.
